Bhubaneswar: May 07: India reported 4,14,188 fresh Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours. This is highest daily total so far. With this, the total number of cases in the Country increased to 2,14,91,598, said Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Also, India registered 3,915 fatalities in a day, taking the total so far to 2,34,083.
It is the 15th straight day when India recorded more than three lakh cases while over 3,000 casualties have been reported for the last nine days.
Active cases number increased further to 36,45,164.
3,31,507 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours. So far, 1,76,12,351 people have recovered from the disease in India.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 29,86,01,699 samples have been tested up to Thursday (May 6) for Covid-19. Of these 18,26,490 samples were tested on Thursday.
