India records highest single-day spike of 29,429 novel Coronavirus cases

Bhubaneswar: July 15: India recorded the highest single-day spike of 29,429 coronavirus cases and 582 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, total cases in India has reached 9,36,181 and the death toll rose to 24,309.

As reported by Health Ministry, 5,92,031 patients have already recovered from COVID-19 and the recovery rate has increased further to 63.2 per cent.

Active cases number is 3,19,840 now.

India still remains the third worst-affected country after the US and Brazil.

Maharashtra tops among the States with 2,67,665 cases and 10,695 casualties followed by Tamil Nadu with total 1,47,324 cases, including 2,099 deaths.

Delhi’s Corona situation has been improving continuously. It was reporting 3,000 plus cases till the third week of June and now, daily numbers have been steadily going down. It has recorded a total tally of 1,15,346 cases, including 3,446 deaths.

States with more than 25,000 cases are Karnataka (44,077),Gujarat (43,637), Uttar Pradesh (39,724), Telangana (37,745), Andhra Pradesh (33,019), West Bengal (32,838) and Rajasthan (25,571).
