- Weekly Positivity Rate is presently at 1.35%
- Recovery Rate from Covid currently stands at 98.27%
The country also reported a 21 per cent jump in new Covid cases as it reported 27,553 fresh infections today. India Covid tally increased to 3,48,89,132 with fresh 27,553 cases.
9,249 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,42,84,561, informed Health Ministry.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.27%.
Active Caseload has been growing since last few days and is presently at 1,22,801. Active cases constitute 0.35% of the country’s total Positive Cases.
About 284 people died due to the virus during the period, the data showed. With this, total death toll in India reached 481770.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 10,82,376 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 68 Cr (68,00,71,486) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 1.35% and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 2.55%.
The Centre has asked states to set up makeshift hospitals and form special teams to ensure people don’t face any difficulty.
During the peak period of Second Wave, India witnessed daily cases of 400,000 around. Caseloads had dropped significantly since then. It was under 10,000 since last few months.
