Will India win 4th Test to take the lead 2-1 in the series ?

September 6

England did well on day 4 as well as India. India scored 466 runs to close the 2nd Innings and wished to take one to 2 wickets before the close of the day. But, failed. England lived to fight another day. Haseeb Hameed & Rory Burns scored 77 runs together whiling chasing 368 that India had set for them to win.

England still need 291 runs to win the match and also they are in advantage as they have all 10 wickets in hand.

Bowlers toiled hard but to no reward. In fact, there is not much in the wicket for the India Bowlers. As seen, England batted quite at ease for 32 overs.

Only hope is with Jadeja as he is seen getting some turn and bounce at the end there.

It will be also difficult for England to make 2-1 lead in the series with the win in this match because, they have to score 290 more runs in remaining 90 overs. Also, they will try to bat remaining 90 overs if they have to ensure India don’t run away with a 2-1 lead in the series.

If we shall look at the Indian side, they did well so far. Indian openers started very well. Rohit Sharma scored his maiden Test century overseas on Friday. KL Rahul also scored 46 good runs. India’s dependable batsman Cheteshwar Pujara also hit a half-century.

Skipper Virat Kohli and Ravindra began the day 4 nicely, but India had to lose three quick wickets and India get reduced to 312/6 with a lead of just 213. At lunch, it had moved to 230.

JadejaThey looked to build on it when skipper Virat Kohli and Jadeja resumed batting on the fourth day on Sunday. However, three quick wickets saw India get reduced to 312/6 with a lead of just 213. Jadeja, an out-of-form Ajinkya Rahane and Kohli had fallen one after the other.

Post-lunch scenario got changed as Shardul Thakur (60 off 72 balls) and Rishabh Pant (50 off 106 balls) hammered the England bowlers.

Shardul Thakur hit seven boundaries and one six while Pant hit just four boundaries on Sunday. Both have added 100 runs for the seventh wicket in 25.6 overs.

After both left, some hits from Umesh Yadav (25 off 23 balls) and Jasprit Bumrah (24 off 38 balls) took India to cross 450.

Now, the Match has come to an interesting stage. If is difficult to say, who will win the Match !
