Bhubaneswar: May 07:The total number of confirmed cases in India is now 52,952. So far, a total of 15,266 people have been cured. Since yesterday, an increase of 3561 has been noted in the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in India.
The death toll due to COVID-19 increased to 1783.
At present, 35,902 active cases are there in the country.
Maharashtra continued to be the hardest-hit state and its total number of cases jumped to 16,758.
Total number of confirmed cases in Gujarat stands at 6625, followed by Delhi with 5532 cases, Madhya Pradesh with 3138 cases, Rajasthan with 3317 cases, Uttar Pradesh with 2998 cases and Tamilnadu with 4829 cases.
