India’s COVID tally crosses 46 lakh mark; Total death toll stands at 77,472

Bhubaneswar: September 12: India witnessed another big spike of Corona Positive cases today. It has recorded 97,570 new cases in last 24 hours, pushing the total number of cases to 46,59,984.

Also, 1201 patients died in last 24 hours due to Coronavirus and the total death toll in the Country has gone up to 77,472.

Heath Ministry further informed, 81,533 persons recovered from the disease in last 24 hours, which took the total number of recoveries in the Country to 36,24,196. The recovery rate stands at 77.77 per cent.

India has 9,58,316 active cases at present, which is 20.56 percent of the total cases detected so far.

India conducted 10,91,251 tests in a single day on Friday, taking the total number of samples tested so far to 5,51,89,226.

Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh are the worst-hit states. They account for above 60 per cent of the total cases.

Maharashtra has crossed one-million mark (10,15,681 cases), followed by Andhra Pradesh (5,47,686 cases), Tamilnadu (4,91,571 cases), Karnataka (4,40,411 cases) and Uttar Pradesh (2,99,045 cases).
