Bhubaneswar, July 22: A road side ‘Piaji and Bara’ vendor, Rashmi Ranjan Sahoo, belonging to India qualifies for the Asian and World Bodybuilding Championships in the 80 kilogram category. He got into the national team by showcasing a remarkable performance at the national selection camp that was held in Chennai. Sahoo expressed his happiness for his success and hopes to do better and win a medal for the country on getting sponsorship and support from the people of his state.
Babuli Swain, coach of Sahoo also said similar words.
The three other bodybuilders from Odisha, Pankaj Pratihari, Krishna Rao, Balal Khan and Rajesh Achari, will also represent the Indian team at the international events.
The World Bodybuilding Championship will be held in Thailand in November after the Asian World Bodybuilding Championship that will be held from September 2 to 8 at Bhutan.
