India’s total number of COVID-19 cases rise to 46,711; Death toll stands at 1583

Bhubaneswar: May 05: India recorded 3,875 fresh COVID-19 cases  in last 24 hours and total number of cases rose to 46,711 on Tuesday.

The death toll due to COVID-19 increased to 1583 after 194 more deaths were recorded in last 24 hours.

At present, 31,967 active cases are there in the country and 13,160 patients have cured from the disease.

Also, as informed by Health Department, 1020 people recovered from COVID-19 in last 24 hours and the current recovery rate stands at 27.41%.

Maharashtra continued to be the hardest-hit state and its total number of cases jumped to 14,541 after 771 fresh cases were reported since yesterday.

Total number of confirmed cases in Gujarat stands at 5804, followed by Delhi with 4898 cases, Madhya Pradesh with 2942 cases, Rajasthan with 3061 cases, Uttar Pradesh with 2766 cases and Tamilnadu with 3550 cases.
