JDA election on hold; junior doctors call off stir

Burla, Aug 9: Protesting the Principal’s decision to dissolve the Junior Doctors’ Association (JDA) before its term end in December this year, the junior doctors at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Science and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, had staged cease-work agitation earlier in the day today. They had also gheraoed the chambers of the VIMSAR director and the Principal.

However, after an assurance by the institute’s Principal later that election of the Junior Doctors’ Association (JDA) will be put on hold, the agitation was called off by the junior doctors.
