Job Fraud Scam: ECoR Chief Personnel Officer asks CBI enquiry and post advertisement regarding Railway Recruitment process

Bhubaneswar, Sept 8: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday said it would recommend the CBI to probe into the fraud to job seekers incident. They have also decided to bring out an advertisement in the media to clarify the railway recruitment procedure to the people that no recruitment is made without any notification. Through the advertisement, they would request the people that if they have received any appointment letter through other process other than the standing rules of the Railways, then they must contact the sources to verify the authenticity of the signature mentioned in their appointment letter. All this information was given to the media by the ECoR Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) Manju Ray. She further said like these frauds, those who pay money to them to get the job are also at fault. They should remember that there is no short cut method to get a government job. She further added that stern action would be taken against any Railway staff if police will provide sufficient evidence of their involvement in the fraudulent act.

Notably, the Commissionerate Police on Tuesday had arrested Kishore Chandra Behera, an electrician, working in the Bansapani Division, from Jharkhand on the charge of defrauding Rs 22 rom five youths with a promise to provide them a job in the Railways.
