Justice Dixit Krishna Sripada sworn in as Orissa High Court Judge

Cuttack: In a ceremony held at the Orissa High Court premises today, Justice Dixit Krishna Sripada was sworn in as a Judge of the High Court of Odisha. The oath-taking ceremony took place at 10 am, with Chief Justice Harish Tandon administering the oath.

Justice Sripada, who was previously a Judge of the Karnataka High Court, has been transferred to Orissa High Court. With his joining, the number of the Orissa High Court judges rose to 19.

Justice Mr. Krishna S. Dixit enrolled as an advocate in July 1989. Since then he was practising in the High Court of Karnataka and High Court of Madras, specializing in Law of Writs, Election Laws & Service Laws. He was appearing in cases before the Service Law Tribunals of several States. He was appointed as the Senior Standing Counsel for the Election Commission of India and also as an Addl. Central Government Standing Counsel since 1999.
