Dhenkanal, Apr 4: On the way to Kamakhyanagar, from Dhenakanal, the Kamakhyanagar sub-collector Kalpataru Behera along with tehsildar Saroj Kumar Swain were attacked on the mid-way after their vehicle, which they were on, hit a cow near Gengutia.
As of Sources, the duo was attacked, rather thrashed; also their car was ransacked.
The both after suffering injuries in their chest, back and hand were later admitted to the hospital.
Notably, the duo along with one other was travelling towards Kamakhyanagar, where in between a herd of cows along with a herdsman entered the road. After the tehsildar sounded the horn, the herdsman hit the car with a stick. To prevent the herdsman from doing such again, the tehsildar moved out of the car, and soon around 5-7 people gathered around and started beating them up, said sources.
