Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: Yesterday the Bharatiya Janata Party alleged that the social welfare schemes’ benefits which was launched by the State government never reached the people in the poverty stricken KBK region. BJP’s Kuchinda MLA, Rabi Narayan Naik led an eight-member fact finding delegation to take note of the ground realities and held the government responsible for the shocking condition of the health delivery system in these parts.
The fact finding team observed that not a single social welfare scheme announced by the State government has reached the people. He also held the state government responsible for the pathetic condition of hospitals in these backward areas.
The ruling BJD predictably refuted such allegations saying that overall growth and development of a backward area takes time.
