Kendrapara, Jan 2: A local businessman of Haladia village under Derabish block here, who was allegedly kidnapped by miscreants late on Friday evening and later dumped in a critical condition, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital here yesterday. Miscreants had allegedly kidnapped Sridhar Sahoo, aged 31, a manufacturer and supplier of snacks, late on Friday evening with an intention to extort money from him.
Sahoo was later found by his family members dumped with serious injuries on his body near his house on the next day’s evening. He was rushed to the hospital. Sahoo’s wife alleged that two persons, one Mojamil aka Lala and another Bana had demanded extortion money amounting to Rs 2 lakh from her deceased husband. However, her husband didn’t succumb to their demand and she suspects them to be his kidnappers.
