Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: The Nadankanan Zoological Park broke its own 57-year record on New Year’s Day by recording a footfall of around 50,648 visitors. This is taken as an all-time high record ever achieved by the zoo. As per previous record, in 2012 the number of footfall was recorded as 49, 682, in 2013 50,338 and in 2015 the footfall was 12, 007.
It may be noted that, on its foundation day, Dec 29, the zoo had launched the online ticket booking service and around 24 birds and animals were also added in the zoo. The zoo authorities expect that with the addition of these new inmates, the inflow of visitors will increase sharply.
