Puri: July 5: Today is the day for Naba Jaubana Darshana. Devotees will see Naba Joubana Besha of Lord Jagannath. As per the tradition, Lord Jagannath falls ill after taking heavy bath during Snana Purnima and rests in Anasara Ghara (the house of rest). After a full fortnight’s treatment with herbs and complete rest, Lord gets back his juvenile youth. To have a look of ‘Naba Joubana Besha, lakhs of devotees have reached the pilgrim town of Puri today.
Devotees were waiting eagerly to see their Lord after a fortnight. It is reported that, the rituals of the deities related to Naba Joubana Darshana are running late. As per the tradition, ‘Banakalagi’ ritual, ‘Mangala Arati’, ‘Mailam’ and ‘Abakasha Niti’ of the deities will be performed. After the rituals, the ‘Paramanika Darshan’ and ‘Sarbasadharan Darshan’ of the deities will commence, the sources added. As per the arrangement, the Paramanik devotees will be allowed to enter the temple through its southern gate and move through the Panda Dwara and Muduli Dwara and reach the Bahara Katha Dwara from where they will have the darshan of the deities. After the Paramanik darshan is over, the Sarbasadharana darshan will begin in which the devotees will enter into the temple from the Singha Dwara (Main gate) and move through Sata Pahacha and reach the Bahara Katha Dwara from where they will have the darshan of the deities. After the darshan, the devotees will leave the temple through Egara Dwara and Ghanti Dwara.
