Umerkote, Apr 1: Yesterday at Hugulahandi under Umerkote block of Nabarangpur district, a landslide occurred which killed one and injured another. They had gone to nearby hill to collect stones. The name of dead was Bandhu Bhatra and the injured is Dasrath Gond. Gond has been hopitalized at the CHC here. It’s stated that the when the tragedy occurred, there were three persons up on the hill digging stones. Umerkote IIC Birendra Kumar Senapati has stated to media that the mishap occurred due to landslide and rolling down of rocks, following which Dasrath sustained injuries and Bandhu died while he was being taken to the hospital. A UD Case No 12/17 has been registered and investigation is on.
