Nuapada, May 27: In a tragic incident, a 4-year-old was dragged down and lacerated to death by a leopard in a forest near Haladi village of Nuapada.
Notably, early today, after searching for the missing minor in the village for a long, the villagers finally following the bloody marks found the boy in mutilated conditions in the nearby forest.
As of reports, the boy’s family, suffering of extreme heat conditions were sleeping on the house veranda last night. It is suspected that the leopard must have picked the boy up during sleep. The family members had no idea of the minor being picked until this morning they found him missing.
The police and forest officials after reaching the spot are investigating into the case.
