Bhubaneswar: April 25: Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed states to locate and deport all Pakistani people within their jurisdiction.
In response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India said on Wednesday that it has revoked all Pakistani nationals’ visas as part of a diplomatic counter offensive that included five steps.
In particular, India declared that all visas would be cancelled starting on April 27. The government stated that medical visas will only be valid for an extra 48 hours.
India claims to have evidence that Pakistan was involved in the attack’s planning and execution. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri presented the evidence to senior foreign diplomats from the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, and China on Thursday.
India has also suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, or IWT, a key water-sharing deal governing usage of the Indus River and its five tributaries – the Beas, Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej. Pakistan reacted with a suite of similar measures and also declared suspension of the IWT “an act of war”. In retaliation, Islamabad said it was suspending the Simla Agreement.
Addressing a public rally in Bihar’s Madhubani district on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphatically said that those responsible for the “terrorist attack and their conspirators will be punished beyond their imagination”.
Prime Minister Modi has vowed vengeance against all those responsible and said his government will not let the terrorists’ evil agenda succeed.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh echoed that call at a Delhi event, thundering, “We won’t only punish the monsters who carried out this act of brutality and barbarianism, we will also reach those who hid behind a curtain to carry out this conspiracy.”
This heinous act perpetrated by the terrorist was denounced by nearly all segments of society, political factions, and nations.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, President of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, states, ” “A very tragic incident took place this week, which has shaken our hearts. The way people were identified, their religion was asked, and more than 25 people were killed in front of their families… we condemn it…”
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi wore a black band on his forearm and handed identical bands to congregants before to Juma Namaz at Shastripuram Mosque in Hyderabad on Friday. The action was executed in response to the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed several innocent lives and has incited widespread national indignation. On Thursday, following his attendance at the government-convened all-party meeting in response to the Pahalgam terror assault, Owaisi advocated for rigorous measures against Pakistan and commended the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty. He commended the resolutions made by the Cabinet Committee on Security on Wednesday.
The Pahalgam attack represents the most severe incident on Indian territory since February 2019, when 40 CRPF soldiers were killed in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, by the banned terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed.
