Angul, Oct 30: Police detained a man after the bodies of his wife identified as Uri Pradhan and minor fiver-year-old daughter identified as Suni Pradhan, were recovered from a well at Debhuin Village in Angul district today.
To ascertain the cause of the death, the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
Besides, as per the allegation by the family members of Uri, the duo were killed by Uri’s husband Tuna. After killing the two, he dumped the bodies in the well to make it look like a case of suicide.
As the bodies were floating in the well, the bodies were spotted by the nearby villagers after which they informed the police. The police reached the spot later and recovered the bodies with the help of fire officials.
To unfold the involvement of Tuna in the crime, the police are interrogating Tuna.
