Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: With death of one more person at the AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, the death toll has increased to 20 in the fire mishap at the Sum hospital which occurred on Monday evening.
The deceased named Harihar Mallha was shifted from the Sum Hospital to AIIMS in a critical condition.
It may be noted that last evening 45 patients were admitted in AIIMS from Sum hospital from which 15 have been discharged. Apart from that, in AMRI hospital 36 patients, in KIMS 14 patients, eight at the Nilachal hospital, six patients in SCB Medical College and Hospital, five at Kalinga Hospital, six at Apollo Hopital and seven have been admitted at the Vivekananda Hospital.
To review the treatment facility of the patients, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited the AIIMS and AMRI hospital. Today morning Arti Ahuja, Health Department Secretary also visited the hospital to look over the current situation.
