Police arrested Constable Prasanna Behera on charges of running an illegal bar at Patrapada, under Tamando Police Station.
Manish Anurag had last visited the bar before his murder. Police Sources said, Prasanna was arrested for allegedly running the bar without valid license and also violating Covid Guidelines.
Also, Police arrested Hotel South City owner Pradyumna Jena and bar manager Souvik Jena.
While doing investigation on Manish Anurag’s murder case, a separate case was lodged for running the bar till late night on October 9. In the meantime, it was found that the license of the bar was expired, Police sources said.
It is said, Manish Anurag was murdered following altercation with his friends over payment of bill at the Hotel South City late on October 9. Next day, Manish’s body was found from a Pond at Patrapada.
So far, Police arrested all three accused persons Amrit Biswal, Dinesh Mohaptra and Mrutyunjay Mishra on charges of murder and destroying evidence.
