Many BJD, Congress leaders from across state join BJP

Bhubaneswar, June 5: In the presence of Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP party’s state president Basant Panda and other party leader, many BJD and congress leaders from Sukinda and Dharmasala leaving their parties joined the BJP party in an event yesterday at the party’s state headquarters in Bhubaneswar.

Senior BJD leader from Sukinda, Pradeep Bal Samant, who had contested the Assembly election in 2014, coming in a huge rally with his thousands of supporters joined the party yesterday. While on the other hand, the recently resigned Nayagarh district congress chief Lala Manoj Ray also joined hands with the national party.

Along with this, Keonjhar district former MLA Dhanurjay Siddhu, PCC secretary Prithivraj Kuanar etc also joined the saffron party yesterday along with his hundred of supporters.

Similarly, led under the leadership of Surendra Pradhan, 1000s of supporters from the Dharmasala assembly constituency joined the party yesterday.

Speaking to he media Dharmendra Pradhan said that the newly joined leaders are an assets for the party. On the other BJD party spokesperson Pratap Deb has said, “quitting one and joining second is a common practice and will continue till the general elections, so there is nothing to worry about it. As BJP’s is putting hands into other parties, other parties also may do so”.
