Balangir, Sept 16: Tension gripped in Titlagarh area in Balangir after some hand written posters of BBM division of the Maoist was found at the forest beat office, Panchayat office, local hospital and Market stating their several demands.
Through the posters the Maoist opposed the Green Hunt operation which was launched by the State government and the Ministry of Home Affairs and demanded proper irrigation to crop fields in tribal areas by constructing check dams and canals. They also demanded to announce Balangir as draught hit area, ration card for all Dalit and tribal families and closure of liquor shops in the area.
After the locals informed the police about the posters, police visited the area and seized the posters.
