Bhubaneswar, Dec 28: The Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), the Odisha-based leading subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, has received three first prizes of the PRSI National Awards-2015 at a function held on Thursday at the 37th all India Public Relations Conference in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
MCL Public Relations Officer Vinayak D Jamwal and Assistant Manager (Personnel) Asha Jyoti received the awards from Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation’s Managing Director RS Sodhi.
According to the release, MCL corporate film titled ‘A Coal Miner with the Difference,’ which was shot at various coal mining projects in the State, was adjudged for the first prize at PRSI Annual Awards-2015. Dominic Sangma of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) had given the direction to the film, made on the script of MCL’s PRO Vinayak D Jamwal.
This apart, the company was also adjudged the ‘Best PSU in Implementing CSR’ while a MCL’s CSR project named ‘Naunihal’ initiated through the Jagriti Mahila Mandal got the ‘Best CSR Project for Childcare,” the release added.
