Bhubaneswar, Sept 7: On Saturday it was announced that the monsoon session of Odisha Assembly would commence from September 21 and continue till September 29. The notification issued by the Assembly Secretariat after the consent of the Governor said that there will be eight working days in this upcoming monsoon session. Earlier it was supposed to begin from September 7 and conclude on September 21. However it had to be postponed keeping in view the protest from Opposition against western Odisha’s famous agrarian festival Nuakhai which was yesterday.

At this session, it’s stated that Opposition parties would raise the issue of Dana Majhi which shows the deteriorating health infrastructure in the state, Mahanadi water dispute issue, Kandhamal firings, and attack on Union Minister, Santosh Gangwar in Bargarh and others.
