Bhubaneswar, Mar 5: NABARD in co-ordination with various stake holders, as part of its endeavour to rejuvenate self help groups (SHG) across the State, has decided to conduct 4,000 village level programmes on mission mode in the State through branches of commercial banks, RRBs and co-operative banks from March 1 to 15.

According to NABARD sources, branch officials and members of 6-7 SHGs falling in those villages, representatives of NGOs and OLM will participate in the program. These programs would be in the mode of credit camps/linkage meets where activities like sanction, release, recovery campaign, etc will be covered. The programs will also provide the SHG members information about linkage, operation of loan accounts (term loan and CC), prompt payment concept for NRLM subvention and other available supports to SHGs.

It has also been decided by NABARD to extend financial support for conducting such programs.
