Bhubaneswar, Apr 3: A four-day national level exhibition-cum-traders meet has commenced at the IDCO exhibition ground here from Apr 1 onward. The meet is being organized by the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI).
The event is to showcase the industrial expertise of Odisha and along with give a platform to the MSMEs and start-ups for displaying their products.
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Radha Mohan Singh and Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan attended the inaugural ceremony on Saturday. UCCI president Ramesh Mahapatra said to the media that the exhibition is an opportunity for understanding the industrial ecosystem of the State and various initiatives undertaken by the State government for smooth conduct of business and making Odisha a preferred destination for investors. Skill development seminars and start-ups are also to be organized and the focus would be on young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas.
During these four-days of the event, luminaries of the State with outstanding career profile are be felicitated. Union Minister for MSME Kalraj Mishra and Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram will grace the valedictory ceremony on Apr 4. As many as 155 stalls, including 20 of start-ups and 30 of tribal products have been set up.
