Bhubaneswar: April 26: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today discussed with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey through video conferencing regarding the return of Odias stranded there after the completion of nationwide lockdown period on May 3.
As decided in the meeting, workers interested for returning to Odisha will be provided a bus service from Maharashtra. The senior officers of both the states will coordinate the affairs.
Maharashtra Chief Minister assured Naveen that no raod tax will be levied on the special bus which will carry Odia workers from Maharashtra to Odisha.
Also, Government of Odisha has decided to send formal request to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Governments to waive road tax on the bus.
Union Petroleum Minster Dharmendra Pradhan also participated in the discussion from Delhi.
Today, Odisha Chief Minister also held similar discussion with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani to bring back odias stranded in Gujarat.
