Naveen Distributes BSKY Smart Health Cards
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik distributed smart health card of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) at Bijepur in Bargarh. Besides, various projects have been launched by CM.
The function was attended by Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, Rural Development Minister Sushanta Singh, Finance and Excise Minister Niranjan Pujari, Rajya Sabha MP Prasanna Acharya and 5 T Secretary VK Pandian.
However, Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari did not attend.
Addressing the people, Chief Minister said that three and a half crore people from 96 lakh households in the state would benefit from the Smart Health Card. This will help our poor people to get rid of many health problems.
He added, when Health issue comes, many people use to sell their landed properties and also, sometimes, children have to forgo their studies due to financial issues
Now people can get better treatment at 200 major hospitals in the country by holding a piece of card without any hassle. They will not have to spend a single rupee even.
The Chief Minister said that, every life is precious to him. Be it a farmer or a labourer or a rickshaw puller – let everyone live with dignity. It’s the goal of his various welfare programs.
“Odisha is the only state where the state government bears all the expenses, from testing to treatment, to all patients suffering from Corona,” he said.
While Speaking on the occasion, CM praised the weavers of Bargarh. He said that the weavers of Bargarh had given the world a gift of Sambalpuri sarees. He saluted the skills of the weavers of Bargarh.
