Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik flagged off the Kolkata-Kamakshya bound train from Bhubaneswar Railway Station today afternoon. This is the eleventh trip for the senior citizens under Baristha Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana.
Around thousand pilgrims from Cuttack, Kendrapara, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Khurda were on-board the train. Naveen Patnaik wishes all the senior citizens on board a happy and safe journey,
In 2014, Odisha Government had started the scheme ‘Baristha Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana’ for senior citizens with the objective to provide opportunity of pilgrimage to the senior citizens.
