Bhubaneswar: April 07: Sarojini Hembram will be the candidate of BJD for the Baripada Assembly Constituency in Odisha. Announcing this, Naveen Patnaik said, ‘Sarojini Hembram will be our MLA candidate from Baripada’.
Sarojini Hembram had won the 2009 Assembly Election from Bangriposi Vidhan Sabha Constituency as BJD candidate. She was also the Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of Textiles and Handicraft, Government of Odisha from 2012 to 2014. She was later elected to the upper House of Parliament in 2014.
