Naveen Talks To Amit Shah For Safe Return Of Odias Stranded In Ukraine
Many students and others from Odisha are now stranded in Ukraine. After Russia attacked Ukraine, it is not yet been possible to bring back the people of the state from Ukraine.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging the latter for the safe evacuation of stranded Odia students and workers in Ukraine.
Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik today has announced that the State Government will bear the expenses for bringing back Students and Workers of Odisha stranded in Ukraine. Earlier the Chief Minister had spoken to Union Home Minister over the issue.

The Chief Minister has also directed that Development Commissioner-cum-Special Relief Commissioner Shri P.K. Jena will coordinate the overall issue of bringing back citizens from Odisha. Besides, the Resident Commissioner at New Delhi will coordinate with the Government of India over this issue.
The Chief Minister has also directed the District Administration to collect information regarding students and workers in Ukraine and effectively coordinate with their family members at this hour of crisis.
A Special Assistance Cell has also been made functional at the office of Resident Commissioner of Odisha (New Delhi) to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation and other concerned agencies to ensure safe and early return of the stranded citizens of Odisha from Ukraine.
