Puri, Aug 13: Today posters of the eight servitors who are titled as ‘absconders’ by the police were located at different parts of the city. These posters declare that any person who would give information about these eight servitors would be rewarded.
On Friday, the police had put up these posters at the most busy locations such as railway station, bus stops, district Collector’s office, Shree Mandir temple office, town police station. Along with, there were banners been made on these servitors including Damodara Mahasuara and his brother Jayakrusna Mahasuara. These Banners were issued by the district police on July 27 after these six miscreants were granted with non-bailable warrants (NBWs) from the Puri SDJM court.
Police had identified two others from the video footage. Police further informed the media that if these absconders do not surrender before police or court latest by September 12, then the process for property confiscation would take place against them under Section-83 of the CrPC.
