Bhubaneswar: June 03: For its financial excellence, NMDC received Hindustan Ratan Award in the category of Best Financial Performing PSE. Shri A.K. Padhy, General Manager (Finance) and
Shri P. Jaya Prakash, Deputy General Manager (Corporate Communication) received the award on behalf of NMDC from Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship at a function held at New Delhi recently.
This award is for strong financial performance, recognizing its profits and huge dividend payout to shareholders including Government of India.
NMDC is not only known for its financial strength but also for its concern for sustainable mining, for which all its mining complexes have received 5 Star Rating by Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) and also for its corporate social responsibility which is internationally acclaimed as the best company for its CSR initiatives at the Platts Global Metal Awards at London recently.
