No respite from heat. Capital city sizzles at 41. 4 degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar, April 9:  Heat wave condition, that has gripped almost the entire state since three days, continued for the third consecutive day on Friday with as many as 14 places recording temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in the capital city was recorded at 41.4 degrees Celsius during the day, the Met office said.

Notably, the temperature on Wednesday and Thursday was 43.2 degree Celsius making the State capital the hottest place in the State.

According to Met office, Chandbali recorded 41.2 degrees Celsius while Angul recorded 42. 1 degrees Celsius, Jharsuguda 41.1 degrees Celsius, Sambalpur 41.5 degrees Celsius,  Sundergarh 40 degrees Celsius, Hirakud and Talcher 41.8 degrees Celsius each, Bhawanipatna 42.7 degrees Celsius, Bolangir 42 degrees Celsius, Titlagarh 42.2 degrees Celsius, Malkangiri 42.4 degrees Celsius and Sonepur 43.2 and Dhenkanal 41.2 degrees  Celsius during the period.
