Jajpur, April 9: Three persons from West Bengal were killed and two other persons sustained serious injuries in a major road accident at Bhalukhai Chhack near Jaraka on the National Highway no- 5 under Dharmasala police station in Jajpur district in the wee hours on Friday when their vehicle collided head-on with a truck .
All the three persons died at the spot, police said adding the injured have been admitted to the hospital. The dead have been identified as Mukesh Sahoo (45) Pratima Sahoo (40) the wife of Mukesh and Tapan Kanji (43).
Bhanumati Sahoo(63) the mother of the deceased Mukesh Sahoo and the driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
These people were on their way to a hospital in Bhubaneswar for the treatment of Pratima Sahoo.
