Bhubaneswar: September 14: Odisha Government appointed five IAS probationers for the development of Puri. The five 2018 batch IAS probationers who are going to work for the development of Puri are Suryavanshi Mayur Vikas, Kirtivasan V, Dr Subhankar Mahapatra, J Sonal and Bhubnesh Devdas Patil.
Before leaving for joining, Chief Advisor to Chief Minister’s Office R Balakrishnan and Secretary for 5 T V K Pandian had briefed the probationers about their job and responsibilities.
An official release from Chief Minister’s Office said, the probationers were advised to do their job with utmost dedication to make the State government’s ambitious developmental programme to turn Puri into a World Heritage City a success.
It is to be noted, Odisha Government has been giving special emphasis to develop Puri as World Heritage City. Accordingly, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already announced a package of Rs.500 Crore for the development.
The package announced by Chief Minister focuses on a range of modernization plans like Infrastructure Development, Multi-lane Roads, bridges, Multi-level parking, amenities for pilgrims, revival of Musa river, rehabilitation of those affected from the security zone and renovation of lakes.
