Odisha: Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express flagged off

Bhubaneswar: October 15: Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Express Train started from today under ‘Sewa Express’ brand. Union Railway Minister flagged off nine trains under ‘Sewa Express’ Brand from New Delhi. This was the long standing demand of people of Odisha. Now, People of the two places can commute on daily basis even.

Union Railway Minister and Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal flagged off Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express Train along with Sewa Trains in various States across the country through video conferencing from new Delhi in presence of Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Science & Technology and Earth Sciences; Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel and Suresh Angadi, Union Minister of State for Railways, Govt. of India.

Minister of State for Science & Technology, Public Enterprises, Social Security & Empowerment of persons with Disability Ashok Chandra Panda; Member of Parliament Pinaki Mishra and Aparajita Sarangi graced the occasion at Bhubaneswar Railway Station.

The Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express Train flagged off from Bhubaneswar towards Nayagarh Town. The regular service of this train will commence from 16th October, 2019 as per its schedule. 18423/18424 Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town-Bhubaneswar Sewa Express Train from Bhubaneswar will leave daily at 1840hrs and will reach at Nayagarh Town at 2045hrs. In the return directions, this train will leave Nayagarh Town at 0630hrs and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 0900hrs.

Gracing the occasion, Minister Shri Ashok Panda, MPs Shri Pinaki Mishra and Smt. Aparajita Sarangi praised Railway Ministry as whole and East Coast Railway in particular for connecting Nayagarh Town with Bhubneswar and fulfilling the long demand of the public.

Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his gratitude to Piyush Goyal and Ministry of Railways for starting a new Sewa Train from Bhubaneswar to Nayagarh. He also appreciated the significant steps taken by Railways for the development in Odisha.

Earlier, welcoming the Guests, East Coast Railway General Manager Shri Vidya Bhushan praised both Central & State Govt for their co-operation on different developmental & welfare issues. Later, Sashi Kant Singh, Divisional Railway Manager of Khurda Road offered vote of thanks.
