Bhubaneswar: Two more Odisha-cadre IPS officers Rajesh Kumar and Anup Kumar Sahoo are likely to go on Central Deputation soon as they have been empanelled for Inspector General (IG) or equivalent positions at the Centre.
As per an order, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of Rajesh Kumar and Anup Kumar Sahoo along with 18 other IPS officers for holding the post of IG or equivalent positions at the Centre.
Rajesh Kumar, a 1998-batch IPS officer, is now is the additional DG of as the Additional Director General of Special Armed Police (SAP) while Anup Kumar Sahoo is now posted as IGP (Inspector General of Police) Training at BPSPA (Biju Patnaik State Police Academy) in Bhubaneswar.
Recently, two other Odisha-cadre IPS officers Ravi Kant and Mitrabhanu Mohapatra went on central deputation and assumed charges as as Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Border Security Force (BSF), respectively.
