Odisha: CHSE announces Plus Two Science result; Girls outshine Boys

Bhubaneswar: June 03: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha announced results of the annual +2 Science examination today. Out of 97,705 students appeared, 70,706 students have passed out the examination. The total pass percentage stands at 72.33% as against 76.98% last year.

Balasore district has registered the highest pass rate of 86.56% followed by Khurda with 86.44% and Nayagarh with 85.82%.

Gajapati district has recorded the lowest percentage i.e.36.20%.

20,806 students cleared the examination in First Division, 23,904 students in second division and 25,360 in third divisions. A total of 60 students have secured above 90 per cent in the annual exam this year as against 41 students of previous year. Nine colleges have registered zero results whereas 100 per cent results have been recorded by 29 colleges.

Girls have performed better than Boys with a pass percentage of 75.02% as against 70.4% of Boys.

Students are advised to log on to official websites www.chseodisha.nic.in and www.orissaresults.nic to get their scores. School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash informed that students can apply for rechecking within 15 days from June 6.
