Odisha CM announces old-age pension for additional five lakh beneficiaries:

Bhubaneswar: November 13: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced old-age pension for additional five lakh beneficiaries in the State under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana. However, the new beneficiaries would avail the benefits from December 15. So, the total beneficiaries under this scheme will be 48 lakh persons. People aged between 60 and 80 years will get 300 rupees as old-age person and beneficiaries aged above 80 years will receive Rs 500 every month under the scheme.

While announcing this, Odisha CM said that not a single eligible beneficiary will be left out of the scheme.

CM also announced assistance for artistes under the Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana with effective from December 15. 40,000 artists will get assistance of Rs 1200 per month under the scheme.

The CM directed the district Collectors to disburse the assistance to beneficiaries under both the schemes from December 15 to 20 by organising special camps.
