Bhubaneswar, Apr 19: Today the Odisha Government in the form of a silver lining came to help Sujata Panda, the freedom fighter, Laxmi Indira Panda’s daughter-in-law. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik gave orders to the Balasore Collector to assist Panda in returning back from where she had come. Sujata had to go to Jeypore, but unfortunately, she boarded the wrong train to Balasore, after attending the PM’s felicitation ceremony here. She was left alone in Balasore as her husband had also gone missing. She was left without having any money to return back. As of now, she is into the custody of Balasore’s women association. The CM on being intimidated on this, ordered the Balasore Collector to make sure of her safe return to Jeypore. Laxmi Indira Panda was part of the Azad Hind Fauj women’s unit.

Notably, Suvendhu Panda (70) and Sujata Panda (62), the son and daughter-in-law of the famous Paika leader had come to Bhubaneswar for the felicitation by PM Modi. On their journey back to the home village, both got separated in the Bhubaneswar station. After searching for quite a long time for her missing husband, she boarded the wrong train (Utkal Express) instead of Hirakhand Express. Facing the language problem and having no knowledge regarding the route to her village, she finally got the message that she had taken the wrong route.

The TTE de-boarded the hapless senior citizen in the Balasore station at 3 am in the morning. Unable to take the series of misdemeanor with her in the past few hours, this old lady contemplated of attempting suicide when her savior came in the form of a young student.
