Odisha CM lays foundation stone for drinking water project in Kendrapara district

Kendrapara: December 08: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stone for the drinking water supply project ‘Basudha’ at Sarumuhi village under Mahakalpada block in Kendrapara district today. The project of Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department would benefit needs of 148 villages of Mahakalpada Block and 52 Villages of Marsaghai Block of the district. Odisha Government has spent Rs 241 crore towards the Project.

Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a mega drinking water supply project under Basudha scheme at Jatni in Khordha. The Project would carter to the needs of IIT Bhubaneswar, NISER and Industrial Estate under IDCO, besides Khordha and Jatni.
