Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: When some people are claiming that Narendra Modi “poore desh ko line me khada kar diya” after demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, spiritual guru and Art of Living organization founder, Sri Sri Ravishankar praised Modi for his bold step but is not happy the way it’s being implemented. The internationally acclaimed spiritualist met Odisha Chief Minister at Naveen Niwas here on Thursday evening and discussed how his organization can help the common people in dealing with demonetization. Pointing out how the poor man and the common people were being put to trouble standing in long queues, he said tribal people, who are mostly illiterate, are facing the brunt of scrapping of higher denominations as they are not able fill up the forms at banks. The spiritual guru said he will talk to PM about it and his NGO will open help desks in rural areas of Odisha to assist the common people. The Art of Living will also help tribal people and general public who are facing challenges due to a crisis-like situation in these days, Ravishankar assured.

Speaking to media persons after the meeting with Naveen Patnaik, Sri Sri expressed his gratitude in meeting the CM and also appreciated CM’s plans to help the people as the Government has already opened help desks to guide and assist people who are facing problems due to demonetization.

It may be recalled here that the spiritual guru on Nov 9 had congratulated the PM by terming demonetization as a bold move and good for the country. He also said it will curb corruption, black money and terrorism.
