Bhubaneswar, Dec 27: Yesterday on the occasion of the BJD party’s 19th Foundation Day, BJD supremo and Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik made at the sharp shoot for the upcoming Panchayat elections scheduled to happen in February next year. He said that for him and his government each and every individual is the same and there is no distinction between the party workers and party leaders. His government’s ultimate aim is and would always remain the welfare and development of the Odisha citizens. All this he said while addressing the workers at the party’s headquarters office here. Claiming the fact that his party has always believed that actions speak louder than words, he stated that that all the promises made by the BJD in the last elections are being meticulously fulfilled and the remaining promises will be fulfilled in the next three years.
Criticizing the oppositions, he said that the opposition parties on being rejected by the denizens are now letting out a wrong information campaign against the BJD be it in Mahanadi or Polavarm issue. Patnaik said his government will never tolerate any attempt to hurt the self-esteem of the state. While the Centre has stopped giving assistance to the state under several welfare programmes for development in the tribal and economically backward areas, the state government has somehow managed to continue these programmes with its own resources and the confidence of people in BJD has made him more responsible, he pointed out.
