Bhubaneswar: October 20: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the Post Titli relief & restoration work in the presence of Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Special Relief Commissioner and Secretaries of departments concerned. While reviewing, Chief Minister directed the departmental heads to complete the restoration works in time as fixed earlier.
Directing the officials, Chief Minister said, works related to roads, drinking water supply system, Electricity infrastructure & Connectivity and damage estimation must be completed soon. Also, CM informed that, after five days, Independent Observers will be sent to the affected areas to review the development happened in relief and restoration works.
As discussed in the meeting, roads under works and Rural Development department have been repaired and are usable. Electricity connectivity has been restored in most part of Rayagada district barring few interior areas. As informed, within 4 days, Electricity will be re-connected to all Gram Panchayats.
Also, special relief of 50 kg of rice, two-and-half litre of kerosene oil and `1,000 cash to each affected family have been distributed and rest amount to be deposited in the bank accounts of affected people through DBT soon.
