Rourkela, Dec 12: In a major embarrassment to the State government functionaries, the aircraft of the Chief Minister was pushed on the runway at the Rourkela Airport by police personnel in a four-wheeler style on Saturday.

After Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik disembarked, the aircraft was supposed to leave the runway so that the plane of Vice President of India Hamid Ansari could land at the Rourkela airport runway. As signal was given to Ansari’s plane to come down at the airport, the police personnel remove Patnaik’s aircraft out of the runaway by pushing it after the Chief Minister’s flight stood idle on the runway after landing due to some technical difficulties.

Notably, the Vice President and Chief Minister had visited Rourkela to inaugurate and attend the opening ceremony of the Biju Patnaik Rural Hockey Championship.
