Malkangiri, Jan 21: Yesterday the Director General of Odisha Police (DGP), KB Singh said that the people have lost faith in Maoists and so it is safe and peaceful to hold panchayat elections by the police administration in the Left Wing Extremism (LWE), infested areas here. Singh had visited Malkangiri yesterday to conduct discussions with the police officials and also informed that sufficient security will be made to ensure smooth conduct of elections here. During polls adequate patrolling will be undertaken.
