Bhubaneswar, Mar 7: On Monday, the resignation of Ravenshaw University’s vice chancellor, Prakash Sarangi was rejected by the Governor of Odisha, SC Jamir who is also the Chancellor of the Ravenshaw University on Monday over student unrest and excessive political interference in the institution’s matters. following further student unrest, Sarangi had given his resignation to the Governor. Upon his resignation, Jamir invited Prakash for discussions. After holding discussions, the governor refused to accept the resignation and asked Prakash to continue. The Governor promised Sarangi that all support will be provided from the administration. However, there was no interference from the Chancellor’s side, but rather from political and civil society groups.
